Chattanooga, Tennessee—

Beyoncé is back, and the darling of the Grammys again.  She leads the 2023 Grammy nominees with NINE nods . . . including Album of the Year for “Renaissance” and Song and Record of the Year for “Break My Soul”.

Jay-Z got five nominations this year . . . two for “Renaissance” and three for his guest appearance on DJ Khaled’s “God Did”.

And now, Jay and Beyoncé co-own the record for most nominations EVER . . . with 88 each.

If Beyoncé wins four awards, she’ll also have the record for most Grammys WON.  She currently has 28 . . . while the late conductor Georg Solti tops the list with 31.

Kendrick Lamar sits right behind Beyoncé with EIGHT nominations . . . including Album of the Year for “Mr. Morale and the Big Steppers”.

Also contending for Album of the Year . . . weirdly . . . is ABBA, for what’s supposedly their final album, “Voyage”.

Adele got SEVEN nominations . . . and the following artists got SIXeach:  Harry StylesDJ KhaledFutureThe-DreamMary J. Blige, and engineer Randy Merrill.

Bad Bunny made history for “Un Verano Sin Ti”. . . the first Latin album nominated for Album of the Year.

Ed Sheeran got NOTHING for his album “Equals” . . . but he’s nominated for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for Camila Cabello’s “Bam Bam”.

Dave Chappelle and Louis C.K. are both up for Best Comedy Album, which is going to upset a lot of people.

Drake tried to boycott the Grammys, but he’s up for FOUR of them anyway, thanks to his work on “Renaissance”, Future’s “Waiting for U”, and Jack Harlow’s “Churchill Downs”.

The Grammys go down Sunday, February 5th on CBS.  They’ll be co-hosted by Chris Rock and Will Smith.  Okay, I made that part up.  But everything else I said was true.  (Hollywood Reporter)
