Taylor Swift Has Passed Shania Twain as the Female Artist with the Most Weeks at #1 on the Billboard Country Albums Chart
It’s been a while since we’ve talked about TAYLOR SWIFT dominating the country charts, but here we go. Her albums have now spent 99 weeks at #1 on Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart, and that’s the most in history.
She passed SHANIA TWAIN whose albums have spent 97 weeks at the top of that chart. And Shania, being the class act she is, gave due props.
She reTweeted a Taylor Swift fan post about the new record, and added, “Let’s Go Girls! Proud of you @TaylorSwift13. Historical records are meant to be made and then broken. The baton is meant to be passed on to new generations.”
Without getting too deep in the woods, the reason this happened now is because Taylor came BACK to the country charts with her re-recordings of “Fearless (Taylor’s Version)” and “Red (Taylor’s Version)”.
Taylor’s “1989”, “Reputation”, “Lover”, and “Folklore”, and “Evermore” are considered pop albums.
