Jussie Smollett- All Charges Dropped

Jussie Smollett has been in deep water with Chicago Police after allegedly faking an anti-black anti-gay attack on himself. The police said they had evidence that it was Smollett who planned the crime and relatives conducted it. He was released on a $10,000 bond after being charged with 16 felonies on March 8th. Just 20 days later, The Chicago Police and Mayor have released him and dropped all charges, but haven’t given a reason.
Jussie did make a statement thanking the LGBTQ community and pleads his innocents. “I would not bring our family, our lives or the movement through a fire like this. I’d like to thank my legal counsel from the bottom of my heart. And I would also like to thank the state of Illinois in the attempt to do what’s right. I’d like nothing more than to just get back to work and move on with my life, but make no mistake I will always continue to fight for the justice, equality and betterment for marginalized people everywhere.”
