Tax Free Holiday Weekend in Tennessee

Tax free weekend is here in Tennessee and you may be able to take advantage of more items than you thought! Most people use the tax free holiday to prepare for the upcoming school year. Everyone knows pencils, paper and notebooks are tax exempted, but we took it a step further and researched over a five page list of items that are tax free this weekend in Tennessee! The thing to keep in mind is not exceeding $100 per item on clothing and not exceeding $1500 on electronics like computers, tablets and laptops. Some of these items will surprise you, but according to The Tennessee Department of Revenue there are 154 items available for tax exemption starting 12:01 AM July 26th and ending at 11:59 PM on July 28th.
