Chattanooga, Tennessee—

Many of us already know that exercise comes with certain mental health benefits. But it’s possible that virtual reality training can have the same impact! A new study suggests virtual training can reduce stress and anxiety.

Researches from Tohoku University found that when elderly patients used avatars to run, those patients showed lower levels of stress, comparable to real-life exercise.

These findings could help those who perhaps are limited in their physical mobility to enjoy exercise.
