Walmart Pulls Cigarettes From Stores

Cigarette Smoking

Chattanooga, Tennessee—

Walmart will be removing cigarettes from some stores in California, Florida, Arkansas, and New Mexico, according to a March 28th report.

These spaces will be replaced by self-checkouts and other grab-and-go items. Walmart is already prohibited from selling cigarettes in New York City, which has banned tobacco sales in pharmacies.

This is perhaps a part of the chain’s efforts to expand into healthcare and wellness.
