The ‘Coats For Kids’ Drive at Hamilton Place Mall was a HUGE SUCCESS!

Coats For Kidscover

CHATTANOOGA, TN – News Channel 9 and Hits 96 teamed up with the Forgotten Child Fund to ensure that every child in need stays warm during these chilly months.

The annual Coats For Kids drive returned to Hamilton Place Mall this Thursday, November 30th, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Hits 96 hosted a live broadcast throughout the day, encouraging the community to come together and make a difference in the lives of local children.

The focus of this initiative was to provide winter essentials such as NEW coats, hats, gloves, and scarves to children who may otherwise face the season without adequate warmth. Additionally, monetary donations were accepted to support the cause.

The convenient drive-through donation drop-off was located near Hamilton Place Blvd, outside in the Dillard’s parking lot. This allowed contributors to easily participate in the Coats For Kids campaign without leaving the comfort of their vehicles.

All donations collected during the event went directly to the Forgotten Child Fund, ensuring that the assistance stays within our community and benefits local children in need.

The Forgotten Child Fund has a long-standing history of aiding families during the holiday season, and the Coats For Kids drive is a crucial part of their mission to make winter more bearable for those facing financial challenges.

In total the Coats For Kids Drive collected $30,500 in monetary donations and 2,471 coats.

OUTSTANDING CHATTANOOGA AND THANK YOU TO ALL WHO DONATED!
