Be The Change Youth Initiative (BTCYI) is proud to unveil its latest endeavor aimed at fostering community engagement and supporting local nonprofits: House Shows. Building on the success of their Concert For A Cause series, BTCYI is taking a more intimate approach to philanthropy and entertainment with these unique events.

The House Shows promise an immersive experience for attendees while raising funds for various nonprofits in the Greater Chattanooga Area. The initiative aims to amplify community bonds while supporting organizations such as Downside Up Inc., Help Right Here Chattanooga, Chattanooga Girls Leadership Academy, and White Oak Bicycle Co-Op throughout 2024.

What sets these shows apart is the deliberate connection between artists and nonprofits. Members of BTCYI’s collective are required to spend at least 30 minutes with their nonprofit partners before performing, fostering meaningful relationships and a deeper understanding of community needs.

Moreover, the financial model behind House Shows emphasizes fair compensation for artists and direct support for nonprofits. Artists are paid upfront, with 70% of the proceeds allocated to their nonprofit partners and the remaining 30% supporting BTCYI’s ongoing initiatives. This approach acknowledges the dedication of full-time musicians who generously volunteer their time to both artistic endeavors and community service.

The initiative invites individuals and organizations to participate by hosting their own House Shows. Interested parties can inquire through BTCYI’s Instagram or email office@bethechangeyi.com for further details.

As Chattanooga continues to evolve, initiatives like House Shows demonstrate the potential for grassroots efforts to drive positive change and create lasting impact in the community.
