The Association for Visual Arts (AVA) and the NorthShore Merchant’s Collective are calling upon the community to help sustain the vibrant Chalk Alley, a unique art installation that has become a cherished hotspot in Chattanooga. As chalk art continues to flourish in this creative space, the organizations are seeking monetary donations to replenish essential supplies.
Chalk Alley, which was completed in 2023 through a collaborative effort of the Northshore Merchants Collective, Little Things Lab, and celebrated muralist Alecia Vera Buckles, serves as a colorful connector between Frazier Avenue and Coolidge Park. This interactive art gallery invites residents and visitors alike to explore and unleash their creativity through chalk, making it a welcomed addition to the NorthShore area.
To keep this beloved destination alive with bold colors and imaginative designs, community members are encouraged to contribute. For just $5, donors can provide enough chalk to supply 32 pieces, ensuring that artists of all ages can continue to bring the alley’s walls to life.

Join the effort to keep Chalk Alley buzzing with creativity. Your support will not only provide necessary supplies but will also nurture a thriving artistic community in Chattanooga.
