Hey Brock,

I really need your insight on this situation! My boyfriend and I have been dating for around 3 months and his 40th birthday is coming up. He wants to spend it celebrating in a different country. But here’s the problem… He’s offered to pay for the lodging and meals but wants me to secure my own plane ticket, however I have some significant credit card debt from a recent stint of unemployment and I’m unable to get the ticket. So as of right now he leaves in 2 weeks and he’s just going to go without me.

Should I be upset that he’s not willing to take me? Am I being unreasonable?
