Chris Pratt Reminds Us: No Matter What Happens Today, We’re Fellow Countrymen

The Celebrity Beat…

On this election day, I could deliver a speech about how no matter what happens, we’re all in this together… or I could let a Guardian of the Galaxy do it for me.

Chris Pratt wrote an op-ed for his mother-in-law Maria Shriver’s website, where he endorsed NO ONE.  Well, no one except AMERICA.

He said, quote, “I’ve been thinking a lot about where we’ll be as a nation on November 6th, how we can attempt to move forward after so much division to find a way to come together after the election, no matter who wins or loses.”

He added, quote, “It’s OK to take a moment to lick your wounds when you lose.  Heck, go ahead and cry in the mirror but if we become too paralyzed by defeat or too pompous in victory, allegiance to our ‘team’ can blind us to the fact that we are fellow countrymen.”

Chris said that no matter who wins, quote, “there are still going to be people who need help in this country” and we should find them and help them.

And I really dig this one:  If your candidate wins, and your neighbor voted the other way, check in on them. Quote, “Ask how they’re doing.  See how you can help.”
