Hey Brock!

So I went on a first date with a guy this past Friday and everyhing was so good until he tapped his water glass with his fork to get the server’s attention and I was mortified!

Was the service slow? Nope. That’s just what he does. It worked, probably because it was annoying AF but who does that?

Anyways I asked him if he would please not do that anymore and he was a little miffed about it. He explained by saying it’s something he’s always done, he believes servers WANT to know if you need them, and they want to take good care of you so they get a good tip.

Now I will say the server DID respond so it did work. She did not seem offended and he DID leave her a huge tip. But isn’t that rude? I don’t know I guess I’m just confused.

He’s asked me out for a second date already and literally everything else was GREAT, but I’m hesitant. I’m having difficulty getting over the ick I experienced. Will I ever get over it or just cut bait?
