Chattanooga‘s Department of Community Development has unveiled a groundbreaking new app, MyChattConnect, aimed at transforming how residents interact with local resources, stay up-to-date, and participate in community events. This innovative platform is designed to empower residents by providing easy access to crucial information and services.

Carol Hunter, the Administrator for the Department of Community Development, expressed her enthusiasm about the launch, calling it a significant leap forward for residents in Hamilton County. “MyChattConnect is set to bridge the gap between the citizens and the services and events they rely on,” she explained. “In our fast-paced lives, having straightforward access to community support is paramount. This app streamlines connectivity and engagement like never before.”

MyChattConnect Features:

– Easy Access to Local Resources and Events: Users can explore Chattanooga’s numerous community centers, book event spaces, and discover daily activities all through the app.

– Real-Time Notifications: Stay informed with push alerts and updates on the latest happenings at community centers, upcoming events, and available services.

– Innovative Check-In System: A new feature set to roll out in 2025 will allow users to check into community centers using a barcode scan from their devices, eliminating the need for paper sign-ins.

– Critical Social Services Access: The app offers direct links to important services, including utility assistance and social support.

– Community Engagement Opportunities: Residents looking to contribute can apply for their local Community Advisory Committee (CAC) through the app, helping shape the future of local programs.
