The Be The Change Youth Initiative has kicked off its Food Drive Challenge, encouraging community members to lend a helping hand to those in need. Running now through Thursday, June 12th, this initiative aims to gather nonperishable food items to support the Red Bank Food Pantry.
Participants are invited to visit their local grocery stores and purchase $10 worth of designated nonperishable items, which can then be dropped off at Be Caffeinated on NorthShore. The drive is also on social media, with organizers sharing updates and encouraging residents to participate and spread the word.
According to a recent social media post from Be The Change, the response has been enthusiastic, with almost 25% of the donations already collected.
How to Participate:
1. Visit your local grocery store.
2. Purchase $10 worth of nonperishable food items from a recommended list, including peanut butter, canned goods, snacks, and more.
3. Post a photo or video of your donation on Instagram, tagging @bethechangeyi and using the hashtag #ChattChallenge.
4. Challenge up to five friends to join!
5. Drop off your donations at Be Caffeinated’s NorthShore location.
Items Needed:
– 16 oz jars of peanut butter

– Canned soups or vegetables
– Single-serve applesauce and vegetables
