In a significant step toward improving community health, the American Heart Association, in collaboration with local partners, has unveiled Chattanooga’s first-ever Heart Hub at the downtown branch of the Chattanooga Public Library. This innovative health resource space aims to provide residents with easier access to vital cardiovascular health tools and information.

Located on the library’s first floor, the Heart Hub features an automated blood pressure monitor available for public use, alongside bilingual health materials designed to serve Chattanooga’s diverse population. The initiative also offers counseling and healthcare referral services from trained staff associated with the Library, the City of Chattanooga’s Office of Community Health, and the Journey Health Foundation.

According to the Library’s social media announcement, the Heart Hub is a permanent fixture designed to increase accessibility to heart health resources in the community. Visitors can quickly check their blood pressure and receive personalized guidance or referrals to further healthcare services, all in a welcoming and convenient environment.

The Heart Hub represents a collaborative effort among the American Heart Association, the Journey Health Foundation, Chattanooga Public Library, and the City’s Office of Community Health. By making cardiovascular health resources more accessible, organizers hope to foster healthier lifestyles and reduce the incidence of heart-related illnesses across the Chattanooga community.

For more information about the Heart Hub or to visit, residents are encouraged to stop by the Chattanooga Public Library’s downtown branch during regular hours. Together, these community partners are taking proactive steps toward healthier hearts and healthier lives in Chattanooga.
