Chattanooga Man Attempts Low-Budget Fast & Furious Reboot, Fails Spectacularly

Jimmy Klitzke is in custody after turning downtown Chattanooga into his personal stunt course. Police say Klitzke hit 100 mph on Main Street, sped through an active crime scene, smashed into a power substation, a work complex, a race track under construction, and finally an apartment complex — before losing a high-speed face-off with a tree.

He fled on foot but was caught shortly after, racking up a list of charges that reads like a bad driving syllabus: DUI, reckless driving, evading arrest, and four counts of leaving the scene — all of them apparently parked cars.

No injuries were reported, though several fences are rethinking their life choices.
