Mel Brooks Names the Best Line He Ever Wrote

How many iconic lines has Mel Brooks written over the course of his career?  It would take forever to list them all.  Have you ever wondered if he has a favorite?

Well, he does, but I bet you’ll never guess it.  I’ll even give you a hint:  It’s from “Blazing Saddles”… and I STILL don’t think you’ll get it.

It’s the very end of the movie, where Gene Wilder asks Cleavon Little where he’s going.  Cleavon says, “Nowhere special.”  And Gene replies, quote, “Nowhere special.  I always wanted to go there.”

So they start what you THINK is gonna be one of those classic Western horse rides into the sunset… but then they get off their horses and into a CAR.
