Alcohol on a first date is a no go for some dates, but for others, it can calm their nerves.

According to a new survey from Tinder, 57% of people say they have at least one alcoholic drink on a first date.  The report also came up with a list of “go-to drink options for a first date,” and they’re not talking about sparkling water.

 

1.  Margarita . . . 31% said that’s a solid pick.

2.  A shot of something . . . 28%

3.  A glass of wine . . . 24%

4.  A martini . . . 14%

5.  A mimosa . . . 13%.

6.  Pina colada . . . 12%

7.  Daiquiri . . . 12%

8.  A spirit, like Scotch, on the rocks . . . 12%

9.  A whiskey sour . . . 11%

10.  An old-fashioned . . . 11%.

 

The survey also found that the “most confident daters” seem to prefer a classic margarita . . . doing shots . . . and having drinks “neat,” like a Scotch with no ice.
