A Cop Showed Up to a Virtual Court Hearing Pantsless
You got to know your angles. Detroit police officer Matthew Jackson showed up to court for a virtual Zoom hearing wearing his uniform top and badge. But no pants.
He wasn’t sitting behind a proper table. It looks like he’s on a couch with the camera on a coffee table. He was seated higher than the camera, so it showed him sitting in his boxers or shorts, with bare legs.
The judge, Sean Perkins, was surprised, and asked, “You got some pants on, officer?” Jackson responded, “No, sir.” He then adjusted the camera so the shot just showed him from the waist up. The hearing then went on as normal.
There was no comment afterward, so it’s unclear what happened . . . but it’s probably safe to assume that Officer Jackson either didn’t have his image showing on his end . . . or it was cropped smaller than the feed being sent out.
