The Humane Educational Society’s Fast & Furriest 5K Returns to Greenway Farms on March 22nd

Grab your running shoes, leash up your 4 legged friend, and join us at Greenway Farms on March 22nd at 10am for the Fast & Furriest 5K, benefiting the Humane Educational Society.

This annual event is more than just a race — it’s a celebration of pets, people, and the lifesaving work happening right here in our community.

Participants can choose between a scenic 5K trail race or a 1-mile fun run/walk that’s perfect for all ages and activity levels. Whether you’re a serious runner, a casual walker, or just in it for the tail wags, this event is designed for everyone.

No dog? No problem. You can bring your own pup, run solo, or even “rent” an adoptable HES Trail Buddy to join you for the walk!

After you cross the finish line, stick around for the pet-friendly vendor village featuring local businesses, plus complimentary coffee, donuts, and lunch to keep the celebration going.

Fast & Furriest is introducing an exciting fundraising competition. When you register, you can create a personalized fundraising page and rally your friends and family to support HES.

The individual or team that raises the most money will win an AMAZING prize — and help make an even bigger impact for homeless animals in our area.

Not a runner? You can still participate in the fundraising contest without registering for the race. It’s a great way to support the mission even if you can’t attend in person.

Fundraising is not required to participate — but every dollar raised helps provide shelter, medical care, and second chances for animals in need.
