What Is The Safest Seat on an Airplane?

After the terrible Air Canada crash at LaGuardia, a lot of people are asking the same question:  “Where is the safest place to sit on a plane?”

Here’s what an aviation expert had to say:  “Sitting toward the back of the plane gives passengers the best chance of survival.”

It’s because the front of the plane usually takes the biggest hit.  Another key factor is how fast you can get out of the plane in an emergency.

So here are some tips:

Always know where the nearest exits are before takeoff… don’t reach for any personal belongings… and don’t wear flip flops.  Closed toe shoes help you move faster.

And if you wanted to know which specific seat had the highest survival rate…. a study from 2015 showed that MIDDLE SEATS towards the back of the plane were the safest.
