CARTA Can Now Boot Your Car

Parking in Chattanooga just got real. The Chattanooga City Council approved an ordinance that would allow CARTA the right to boot your car if you have three unpaid parking tickets for at least two months!

This new policy applies where CARTA has enforcement power, including public streets, parking lots, and garages. An amendment will allow drivers to get their vehicles back with a 25-percent down payment and a plan of repayment.

Back in 2024, CARTA’s new leaders found years of unresolved parking tickets.
