New Diet Hack: Watch Videos About Junk Food Might Help You Eat Less Junk Food

A new study might have found a way to curb your craving for junk food.  All you have to do is watch a video about junk food.  The study found that people who are trying to abstain from unhealthy foods end up watching more about them online.  And then, surprisingly, they eat less of it afterward.

Researchers call it “cross-modal satiation” . . . Basically, your brain gets enough satisfaction from seeing the food, that you don’t actually have to eat it. But there’s a catch.  This only worked while watching junk food videos, not healthy alternatives.  Apparently, watching videos about healthier foods does nothing to curb your craving for the unhealthy stuff.
