In The Know with Gino…

Music fans in Chattanooga are invited to witness an exciting showdown this Friday, April 24th, at the Barrelhouse Ballroom, as the finalists for the 2026 Road to Nightfall competition take the stage. One of the local bands will earn the coveted opportunity to headline the upcoming Nightfall concert on July 10th at Miller Plaza, with the runner-up set to open the event.

The finals mark the culmination of a week-long contest featuring four local bands that advanced through public voting during four preliminary rounds held at The Granfalloon. These talented groups will perform in front of judges and the audience, both of whom will influence the final outcome.

Scheduled performances include:

Rosehouse at 8:00 p.m.
Robert Lee & The Union at 8:45 p.m.
Point Of Reference at 9:30 p.m.
Habitual Strangers at 10:15 p.m.

Each band will deliver a 25-minute set, showcasing their best material. While the competition is judged, crowd response will be a key factor in the scoring.

The winning group will not only earn the headline slot at Nightfall but also receive an array of prizes, including a custom guitar from Diamondback Stringworks, a performance at Highland Park Porchfest, a live show plus two recorded tracks and a professional video at Yellow Racket Records, a gig at Wanderlinger, and a three-hour recording session at Wavelength Studio.

The event will be hosted by Cuatro Cinco, last year’s Road to Nightfall champion, who will serve as the evening’s MC.

Doors open at 7 p.m. for all ages, with a $15 cover charge. Tickets are available in advance through nightfallchattanooga.com or can be purchased at the door. For more details on the Nightfall Concert Series and upcoming events, visit nightfallchattanooga.com.
