Mr. T’s Pizza & Ice Cream Expands with New Ooltewah Location

Eddy and Jackson Hilger, a father-son team, are set to bring their popular family restaurant to Ooltewah with the grand opening of a new Mr. T’s Pizza & Ice Cream location on April 23rd. The new spot, located at 8890 Old Lee Highway, promises to be a welcoming addition to the local community.

To celebrate the launch, the restaurant will host special events throughout the opening weekend. The first 250 customers on April 23rd will receive a FREE large pizza and a limited-edition T-shirt. On April 24th, 10% of the day’s sales will be donated to the Austin Hatcher Foundation, supporting children’s health and safety initiatives. The celebration continues on April 25th, with each customer receiving a FREE scoop of ice cream, alongside other family-friendly activities planned for the days.

The Hilgers are eager to connect with Ooltewah residents and contribute positively to the community. The new restaurant will operate Monday through Thursday from 10:30 a.m. to 9 p.m., Fridays and Saturdays until 10 p.m., and on Sundays from 11:30 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Established in 1989 by the original owner Tyler, known as “Mr. T,” the restaurant has long been a staple in the historic St. Elmo neighborhood. Rumors suggest Tyler may make an appearance at the new Ooltewah location to celebrate the continuation of his legacy.

As a locally owned and operated family business, Mr. T’s Pizza & Ice Cream is excited to serve the Ooltewah community, bringing their signature hospitality and delicious food to new friends and families in the area.
