In The Know with Gino…

The Chattery is gearing up to launch an innovative new project—a creative reuse store that will function as an art supply thrift shop. This initiative aims to give new life to gently used and abandoned art supplies by offering a space where artists and hobbyists can find affordable materials, while also promoting sustainability through reuse.

To kick off this exciting venture, The Chattery is inviting community members to contribute their unused art supplies. Donations can be dropped off at The Chattery location every Saturday between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. The organization plans to expand donation hours as they settle into the new operation soon.

The thrift store will feature a variety of art supplies, with specific items accepted and others not suitable for donation. A full list of acceptable items is available on The Chattery’s Instagram post below. Those interested in donating are encouraged to reach out via email or direct message for clarification or to arrange large donations or alternative drop-off times.

This new venture is scheduled to open this summer, promising to be a creative resource for the community while fostering environmental sustainability by repurposing art materials.
