CARTA To Start Booting Cars In The Fall

CARTA To Start Booting Cars In The Fall
The days of not paying your parking tickets will be coming to an end starting October 1. Last month a new city ordinance was passed that will allow CARTA to boot or tow your car for the following:
- The driver has at least three parking tickets due to the Parking Authority
- The tickets must be overdue by more than 60 days
- None of the tickets are under appeal by the driver
- CARTA mailed a notice to the car owner at least 10 days before
If your car meets these requirements and is idling or parked on any public road, lot, or parking garage where CARTA has enforcement, your vehicle could be towed/booted. To get the boot off you will have to pay the fines and pay a $75 boot fee. If you want to find out if you have any tickets click here.
