EPB Scam Alert

Customers beware! If you get a call from EPB’s main number demanding immediate payment to avoid disconnection, hang up it is a scam. Several customers have been getting phone calls from a number that looks like EPB’s main line, the caller will then demand that in order to keep your lights on you must pay right away. These scammers are asking their victims to go to Walmart to pay their bill using a barcode they provide.

EPB does not require immediate payment over the phone to avoid immediate disconnection. If you receive a suspicious call, hang up and call 423-648-1372 to confirm you are speaking directly with EPB.
