Drake Owns Almost Half of the Hot 100 This Week

Drake Owns Almost Half of the Hot 100 This Week

What a week for Drake.  First, he becomes the first artist ever to hold the top three spots on the Billboard 200 album chart . . . and now, he’s taking up almost half of the Hot 100. 42 of the songs from the three albums he released a week ago made it onto the chart, including NINE of the Top 10.  Not surprisingly, that’s a new record for the most entries in a single week.

 

With the track “Janice STFU” taking the #1 spot, Drake now has 14 number ones, breaking Michael Jackson’s record for most number ones by a solo male artist.  Michael “only” had 13.

 

Rihanna and Taylor Swift also have 14. The only artists ahead of them are Mariah Carey with 19 and the Beatles with 20.

 

Drake is also now the first artist to reach 400 Hot 100 hits . . . and he’s still the only one with at least 300.  Taylor Swift is second with 276.
