A Report of a Man in Camo with a Bazooka Turned Out to Be . . . a Landscaper with a Leaf Blower
Last month, someone called the police in Massachusetts to report a man in camouflage clothing, carrying a BAZOOKA. Which sounds alarming.
Cops responded, and tracked the guy down. But he wasn’t a one-man militia wanting to blow stuff up . . . he was a one-man landscaping service wanting to blow stuff around. The “bazooka” was a leaf blower.
So can we call it a “weapon of MESS destruction”?
The cops didn’t mind though. The department said, “You never know . . . everyone’s perception can be different. You’re better off calling and reporting something than ignoring it and having it be something worse.”
