On Independence Day, Collegedale will host its inaugural “All American Hot Dog Eating Contest,” promising a fun-filled morning of competitive eating and community celebration. The event is scheduled for Saturday, July 4th, at Steve Ray’s Midnite Oil and Owls Nest BBQ Supply.

Five contestants—Shaun Kesler, Billy Holland, Jason Flowers, Shawn Williamson, and Donnie Hall—will face off in a high-energy competition lasting 3 minutes. Participants will vie to consume the most plain hot dogs with buns within the time limit, showcasing their eating prowess.

The contest kicks off at 10 a.m., and spectators can enjoy FREE hot dogs with all the traditional toppings immediately afterward.

To add to the excitement, the event will feature a live broadcast of the Nathan’s Famous Hot Dog Eating Contest from Coney Island on a large screen. Fans can watch reigning champion Joey Chestnut defend his title as the top competitive eater in the country.

This celebration aims to bring the community together for a day of fun, food, and friendly competition on a patriotic holiday. For more details click here.
