Everyday Objects That Secretly Have More Than One Job

Did you know that some of the most common items we use every day are working double duty?

Here are some objects that have hidden features that make life a little easier.

1.  The raised bumps on the F and J keys help you position your hands correctly without looking at the keyboard.

2.  The arrow next to your fuel gauge points to the side of the car where the gas cap is located.

3.  The tiny hole in padlocks helps drain water and provides a spot for lubricant if the lock starts sticking.

4.  The hole in a pasta spoon drains water and measures about one serving of dry spaghetti.

5.  The small hole at the end of a tape measure can catch onto a nail or screw . . . which means measuring can be a one-person job.

6.  The black dots around a windshield help protect the adhesive that holds the glass in place.  It also helps with heat distribution.
