Cheat Sheet

It’s Wednesday, which means trivia night is upon us!

Whether you’re the person who knows every obscure fact known to humanity or the person who just shows up for the snacks, we’ve got 5 more random facts that could come in handy tonight.

Welcome back to the Hits 96 Trivia Cheat Sheet — 5 completely random pieces of knowledge designed to make you look a little smarter than you actually are.

Will any of these show up at your trivia night? Probably not. But if they do… you’re welcome.

Here are this week’s 5 facts!

  1. The original piano was created by Bartolomeo Cristofori in Italy in the early 1700s.  And it only had 54 keys, not the 88 keys today’s pianos have.
  2. In Major League Baseball, 33 players have hit home runs in their very first at-bat AND on the very first pitch.  And EIGHT of them were pitchers.  The most recent was Joshua Baez of the St. Louis Cardinals last weekend.
  3. There have been 12 presidents who were fluent in Latin.  That makes it the most common second language for presidents.
  4. The first chocolate bar was made in 1847.  Up to that point, chocolate was just a drink.

  5. The name for a group of ferrets is a “business.”

Now go forth and make your team think you’re a genius!
