Food News!

Fast food has become increasingly expensive and it’s not because the food is better. They’re even ADMITTING it’s not. But they’re pinky-swearing they will change.

Burger King has announced that they’re rolling out new chicken nuggets and sauces, because customers started complaining about the existing ones…and they agree.

In a press release, they say they got “thousands” of complaints about their nuggets being “rubbery,” “dry,” and “disappointing.”  They even posted a few.

They say their “culinary team” reevaluated their process and recipe, and made changes.  They didn’t give a lot of specifics, but said the new nuggets and a range of updated sauces will be available nationwide by September 1st.

In other nugget news:  McDonald’s is bringing back its popular Spicy Chicken McNuggets (and Mighty Hot Sauce) for the first time in two years.  They’ll be back on September 1st… but again, only for a limited time.

In even more nugget news:  Arby’s has brought back their Steak Nuggets for a limited time, along with a new Horsey Ranch sauce.

But back to fast-food chains ADMITTING they’ve dropped the ball…

In an interview with the Wall Street Journal, the CEO of Wendy’s says food quality has NOT been their top priority in recent years, but they’re changing that.

He said, “We have made some decisions around quality that were rooted in efficiency and cost savings.  We have let our value equation erode.”  Social media is mostly shrugging its shoulders, saying things like, “I knew it.”
