Viral TikTok Warns Parents About Inappropriately Risqué Halloween Decoration

It’s still too early for Halloween decorations… but it’s NOT TOO EARLY to go viral for complaining about Halloween decorations.

A woman on TikTok is racking up likes for her video warning parents about a pumpkin decoration called “Jabberin’ Jack“ that sings a RAUNCHIER-THAN-EXPECTED song.  It also goes on WAY longer than it needs to.

Among other things, Jack sings, “Come closer, I have a kiss for you, and it tastes like pumpkin pie…we’ll be wicked for one night, morbid and nefarious, and when the sun goes down, till morning it will just be us.”

And, quote, “How would you like to scream all night?  I’ll fill you full of fright.  Guide you in the darkest deeds, and spoil you with my roasted pumpkin seeds.”

The video currently boasts over one million views and over 100,000 likes.  In a follow-up video, she said, “I did not realize that it was going to go off the way that it did.  It was just a post to let parents be aware and make an informed decision about purchasing the Jabberin’ Jack pumpkin.”

For the record, Jabberin’ Jack is NOT a toy… it’s a decoration… but on the website, it is promoted as something you can leave out during trick-or-treating.

The founder of the company that made it put out a long statement, basically saying that it was meant to be humorous, and not something that was intended to be analyzed by children.  But he now understands that kids were likely going to hear this song, and that it can be considered inappropriate.

He said they can’t remove the song now, but they’re already developing new versions for next Halloween season…and this song will be replaced.
