In The Know with Gino…
A little extra holiday magic is heading to families in Northern Hamilton County, thanks to Food City!
The grocery chain is continuing its partnership with the Northside Neighborhood House, recently presenting the organization with a $10,000 donation to support its annual Santa’s Workshop project.
Santa’s Workshop gives eligible families the opportunity to shop for holiday gifts for their children, making sure parents can put something special under the tree. But it goes beyond presents. The Northside Neighborhood House also helps provide families with food so they can enjoy the holidays without worrying as much about putting meals on the table.
Last year, the program served more than 350 children, and organizers expect that number to grow this holiday season.
And there are ways you can help, too! The Northside Neighborhood House is currently accepting donations of new, unwrapped toys through December 16th. You can also make a financial contribution, organize a toy or gift card drive, or shop directly from their Amazon wish list.
Donations can be dropped off at the Northside Neighborhood House at 211 Minor Street in Chattanooga.
For more information on how to donate, volunteer, or get involved, visit NNHouse.org and look for Santa’s Workshop.
It’s a great reminder that sometimes the best holiday gift is making sure every child in our community has something to smile about.
