A Cost For Being Lazy

Since COVID, a lot of us have been working from home. Most of us are able to get work done, but if we are being honest, slacking off happens from time to time. A woman in Canada was fired from her job for time theft. For those that don’t know, time theft is basically being on the clock and not working. Karlee Besse, sued her company for wrongful termination and was seeking $5000 in back pay. Her company hit her with an Uno reverse and sued her for time theft claiming that she worked more hours than she did. Her company had an app called TimeCamp which basically tracks everything you do while you are on your work computer. The app found that she was not working and now she has to pay her company $2000 in restitution.
