Better Together with Hamilton County School

Chattanooga, Tennessee—

We had the opportunity to talk with Kate Skonberg of Hamilton County Schools about a few events coming up in the Scenic City! Better Together, our annual district-wide service day, will be on Saturday, July 29. We are recruiting almost 600 volunteers on this single day to complete projects at 31 schools to prepare campuses to welcome back students for the first day of school. The Back to School Bash is on Saturday, August 5 (the Saturday before the first day of school). This is our sixth annual BTSB, and we have a new location this year! The event will be at the Tennessee Riverpark, and we are excited to host a more relaxed, neighborhood style event for our families. We typically serve around 3,000 students at this event with school supplies, community supports, fun activities, food, performances, and more.
