Disney's Encanto Leads The Way At Box Office... House Of Gucci Opens Strong
Families ruled the box office over the 5 day Thanksgiving weekend!
Disney’s animated Encanto banked 52% of its $40.3M 5-day gross from Latino and Hispanic audiences, and Sony’s Ghostbusters: Afterlife delivered $35.3M in its second weekend over Wednesday-Sunday and were the top destinations for families.
Ridley Scott’s House Of Gucci came in third place earning $21.8 million over the five-day weekend. That’s record numbers for an adult drama in the pandemic era and reflecting star Lady Gaga’s appeal among all age groups.
Eternals made $11.4M and Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City rounded out the Top 5 with $8.8M.
