Steven Spielberg's latest movie bombed at the box office.
The opening weekend of West Side Story, the first feature musical from Oscar-winning filmmaker Steven Spielberg, isn’t anything to shout from the rooftops about.
West Side Story made just $10.5 million in its opening, a disastrous result when measured against the movie’s $100 million production budget.
Disney‘s Encanto came in at #2, earning $9.42 million, Ghostbusters: Afterlife at #3 at $7.1 million, House of Gucci made another $4.06 million at #4, and Eternals rounded out the Top 5, making another $3.1 million.
This Friday, Spider-Man: No Way Home hits theaters and will reignite the box office once again!
The experts are predicting No Way Home could make $150 million opening weekend.
