Celebrating The “Seniors” of Seniors Got Talent: See Who Will Be Performing on July 30th

The Chattanooga community is set to celebrate the amazing talents of its senior residents during the 7th Annual Morning Pointe Foundation Seniors Got Talent on Thursday, July 30th. The event will take place at 6:30 p.m. at the Silverdale Center Creekside Theater on Bonny Oaks Drive. Local residents are encouraged to attend and cheer on the finalists competing for cash prizes, including a grand prize of $1,000. Tickets are only $10 and are available here.
This annual showcase has grown into a beloved regional tradition, highlighting the diverse abilities and passions of older adults. The competition attracts contestants, families, volunteers, and supporters from across the Chattanooga area, all coming together to honor the active, creative spirit of the senior community.

• Bertha Lawrence – Singer
• Lance Johnson – Comedian/Magician
• Blake Roberson – Singer/Guitarist
• Ole Rhymers – Quartet
• Terri Hall – Singer
• Mark Walker – Dancer
• Suzanne Adams – Pianist
• Tim Miller – Harmonicist
• Wanda Chubbs – Singer
• Fernando Guadarrama – Saxophonist
Finalists, selected from auditions earlier this season, will demonstrate their talents through a variety of performances—from musical acts and dance routines to comedy and instrumental displays. The lineup of finalists features a range of impressive performers, including a bluegrass band, accomplished pianists, singers, a magician who has performed at major Las Vegas venues, and a saxophonist inducted into the Oklahoma Hall of Fame. Other contestants include a retired teacher performing original songs about aging and a Chattanooga Police Department dispatcher with nearly three decades of service who sings spirituals.
Beyond their impressive skills, many finalists bring compelling life stories to the stage. Their backgrounds span from performances at renowned venues to careers in law enforcement, education, and entertainment. Their participation underscores the event’s message that talent and enthusiasm do not diminish with age.
The event will be hosted by Gino D of Hits 96 and is open to the public, offering an inspiring evening of community engagement. Attendees will witness a celebration of aging that emphasizes the importance of staying active and pursuing passions throughout life.
Seniors Got Talent not only showcases individual achievements but also fosters a community spirit, encouraging older adults to remain engaged and connected. Many contestants are supported by family, local organizations, and senior centers, reflecting a collective effort to promote healthy, purpose-filled aging.
Since its inception in 2020, the competition has expanded beyond Tennessee into Kentucky, promoting positive aging across multiple states. Organized by the Morning Pointe Foundation, the event aligns with the organization’s broader mission to enhance senior care by recognizing seniors’ talents, supporting caregiver education, and funding scholarships in fields such as nursing, culinary arts, and social work.
