Chattanooga Public Library Announces 9th Annual Zine Fest Celebrating Independent Creativity

The Chattanooga Public Library’s 4th Floor Makerspace is gearing up for its 9th Annual Zine Fest, set to take place on Saturday, May 30th, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. This highly anticipated, FREE event invites people of all ages to explore the world of independent publishing, art, and activism through a variety of hands-on activities and showcases.
Partnering with Stove Works, the event will feature continuous screen-printing demonstrations, offering attendees the chance to create custom designs. The festival will also include a diverse vendor market filled with independent zine and book creators, as well as live readings by local zine authors and an art show highlighting zinester artwork.
Participants can engage in a wide array of interactive workshops, covering everything from fiber zines and paper making to basic bookbinding techniques. Additional activities include origami-inspired zine folding, photo collage creation using photocopiers, tiny zine crafting, and community zine projects.
