Looking for something to do around Chattanooga this fall and winter—or maybe a little help with a city service or community resource? The City of Chattanooga has put together one guide that could be worth bookmarking.
The City’s Department of Community Development has released its 2026 Fall/Winter Community Resource Guide, bringing together information on seasonal programs, events, activities and services available to Chattanooga residents.
The guide covers everything from community center programming and aquatics to health and wellness resources, family support services, educational opportunities and community events happening throughout the fall and winter.
One of the biggest components is Chattanooga’s network of 19 community facilities, which offer programs, activities, rentals and other services for residents. The city says its community centers are open to everyone, regardless of which part of Chattanooga you live in.
The guide also includes information from the Office of Family Empowerment, which connects eligible residents with resources involving things like housing and utility assistance, along with the Office of Community Health, Office of Community Engagement, Aquatics Division and Community Advisory Committees.
So, whether you’re looking for a new activity, something for the kids, a way to stay active this winter, or information about assistance that’s available in the community, there’s a pretty good chance you’ll find something useful in there.
And this isn’t just about staying indoors once the weather cools down. Chattanooga’s Parks and Outdoors department also offers its own seasonal activity guide, with recreation programs, outdoor activities, fitness opportunities, aquatic programs, family events and more
You can check out the City’s Fall/Winter Community Resource Guide online at cha.city/cdguide, or text the word “GUIDE” to 423-643-7300 and the City will send you the information.
