Coffee Lovers, Rejoice: Five Cups a Day Is Still Considered Safe
Here’s some good news for the coffee drinkers out there: the American Heart Association says that five cups of coffee a day is still within the safe range for most adults.
The group reviewed decades of research and found that “moderate coffee consumption is associated with several potential health benefits.”
They found that people who drank a few cups a day had a lower risk of stroke, and a lower risk of developing type 2 diabetes.
But there’s one important caveat: those benefits only apply to coffee itself . . . not all of the sugar and syrups.
So go ahead and enjoy that morning cup. Or even a fifth, if you want. It might be good for you.
