Dialing For Stupidity

This week’s Simple Simon decided it was a bright idea to make a bomb threat while in an Uber. If you are going to commit a crime it might be a good idea to make sure you don’t have any witnesses. This week’s Simple Simon didn’t get that message.  According to police, Meghan Leavitt, 38, of Alfred, Maine, called in a bomb threat and a man with a gun at a local Walmart.  Meghan was caught because she made the threatening phone call in an Uber while on speaker phone. Her Uber driver called the police and Leavitt was found and arrested. And you want to know the reason why she made the threatening calls? This dummy was trying to create a diversion so her shoplifting boyfriend could escape the Dick’s Sporting Goods which was in the same complex of the Wal-Mart.  Thankfully a bomb nor a gunman was found, but what we did find is that a smart phone in the hands of a fool is a mighty dangerous weapon.
