Do Ariel’s “Friends” in the New “Little Mermaid” Look Unsettling?

The internet has found plenty to criticize with these Disney live-action remakes…but now one of the most common gripes is that the CGI-created animal characters look TOO REAL.
People are saying that the “photorealism“, as it’s called, really drains the personality out of the characters. It was very apparent in “The Lion King“, and it looks like the same thing is happening with the upcoming “Little Mermaid” remake.
Disney released official photos of Ariel‘s friends Flounder, Sebastian the crab, and Scuttle the seagull and fans are saying they don’t look cute or relatable and some find it kind of unsettling.
