How Can Supergirl Have Pierced Ears When Her Skin Is Bulletproof?

Supergirl hits theaters on June 26th, and people already think they’ve spotted a flaw in the movie:  Supergirl… played by Milly Alcock… has pierced ears.

But how can that be possible when she has BULLETPROOF SKIN?

The answer is pretty simple, and it was already answered in Superman  … which Supergirl appears in at the very end.

In that movie, we learn that Supergirl likes to go to planets with red suns in order to party, because her kind have no powers there, and thus she can actually get drunk.

So, according to director James Gunn, she can also get her ears pierced on such a planet.  He adds, quote, “Not to mention she was raised on a chunk of Krypton so [she] didn’t even experience super powers until her teens.”
