Dua Lipa Parts Ways With Management: Report
Dua Lipa has partedways from the management company that helped vault her to global stardom, Tap Management. The singer signed with them in 2013, when she was working as a waitress.
According to reports, her departure was motivated by the size of her cut from recording deals. Lipa has snagged three Grammys and is currently on a 73-date tour in the U.S., and is signed with Warner Music, with modeling deals with Versace and Evian.
Commenting on her surprise decision to leave Tap Management and her manager Ben Mawson, a source told The Daily Mail: “It all came as a bit of a shock, but unfortunately there will always be disagreements when it comes to money. Things had been brewing for some time.”
He continued: “Tap have taken her from an unknown teenager to the most successful female artist in the world. When you look at it like that, you can’t help but think something quite bad has happened.”
