Megan Thee Stallion And Tory Lanez Exchange Words On Social Media

Megan Thee Stallion and Tory Lanez held no punches on Wednesday (February 23rd) when they exchanged a series of words via social media.

It all started with DJ Akademiks tweeted at 11:43 a.m. EST that the gun used in the July of 2020 shooting, which left Megan with gunshot wounds to the back of her feet, didn’t have Tory’s DNA. The court hearing scheduled for that day wasn’t until 12:30 p.m. EST, meaning the information had not been shared in court, therefore the report was not true.

He tweeted, “BREAKING: It was revealed in court few moments ago that Tory Lanez DNA WAS NOT found on the weapon in the Meg Thee Stallion case.”

Akademiks later removed the tweet, but not before it went viral online.

Shortly after, Megan responded to the tweet, calling Akademiks out on her Instagram Story.

She said, “Court ain’t even started so why yall ready to start lying.”

Megan continued, “Yall got breaking news 15 minutes before court started and nobody has even been called in yet?? Yall tryna win a social media campaign this is MY REAL LIFE! Yall tryna get retweet’s SPREADING FALSE NARRATIVES! @iamakademiks Why are you lying? What did you gain?”

She added in follow-up posts, “I know some of yall blogs on payroll but please dont get sued trying to create a hate campaign. Be a real journalist and post FACTS. And to my haters..keep making yourself look stupid idc. Whats even more f**ked up is this sh*t is all public record and nobody even cares to read. Only thing that happened in court today was it got pushed to april 5th.. but yall will get a lie trending.. Imagine how I feel..reliving this sh*t everyday publicly. It hurts Im so tired.”

The pretrial hearing is scheduled for April 5th.

Tory responded with a tweet of his own: “….. u can’t buy and tweet your way out of this one ..not today.”

Megan’s attorney, Alex Spiro, released a statement on the situation, telling XXL magazine, This is nothing more than the dishonest machinations of a desperate man.”

Megan Thee Stallion and Tory Lanez’s back-and-forth continued with Megan sharing text messages she received from Tory, which show him apologizing to her shortly after the July 12, 2020 shooting incident.

She captioned the since-deleted post, “Lie yo way out of this … if you aint do sh*t what you was apologizing for? THE LAWYERS GOT YO PHNE RECORDS AND MINE. ALL YOUR TXT. THEY GOT YOU RECORDED ON THE JAIL PHONE TALKING TO KELSEY APOLOGIZING BEGGING US NOT TO TALK.”

Megan was likely responding to Tory’s prior subliminal tweet.

He then replied, “Good D*ck had me fucking 2 best friends …. and I got caught ‍ … that’s what I apologized 4 . … it’s sick how u Spun it tho …”

Tory was likely referring to Megan’s ex-best friend Kelsey, who was in the SUV the night of the shooting in 2020.

Megan Thee Stallion’s boyfriend, rapper Pardison Fontaine, also entered the chat.

Appearing to threaten Tory, Pardi tweeted, “@torylanez put the phone dwn let’s link .. you n me .. ain’t nothin to talk about.”

He added, “@torylanez don’t tweet nothin else .. SEE ME.”

Tory responded, “…. @pardi we’ve had this encounter … u did nothing 🥱put ya phone down big fella ….”
