Chattanooga, TN – In a proud moment for the Chattanooga healthcare community, CHI Memorial has once again earned the prestigious title of Best Regional Hospital in Tennessee by U.S. News and World Report for the ninth consecutive year. U.S. News and World Report, a renowned publication that assesses and ranks hospitals across the United States, released its annual rankings, showcasing the best healthcare facilities in the nation.

CHI Memorial earned the number three spot on the list of Best Hospitals in Tennessee, placing it right behind Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville and Methodist Hospitals in Memphis. CHI Memorial received a ‘high performing‘ rating in critical areas such as COPD, colon cancer surgery, heart attack treatment, heart bypass surgery, heart failure care, hip replacement, kidney failure treatment, knee replacement, leukemia management, lymphoma and myeloma treatment, lung cancer surgery, prostate cancer surgery, stroke care, and transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR).

The evaluation process conducted by U.S. News was rigorous and comprehensive. Nearly 5,000 hospitals were assessed across 15 specialties and 21 procedures and conditions, with only 164 hospitals securing a ranking in at least one of the specialties. Hospitals recognized with the “Best” designation excelled in clinical outcomes, level of nursing care, and patient experience, a testament to CHI Memorial’s commitment to providing top-notch healthcare services.
